giving idea: Friends of the library

The Friends of the Library of UNC Pembroke is a library support organization whose members offer financial support for projects that are beyond the scope of the state budget. These projects include sponsorship of tuition and textbook scholarships; acquisition of collections that relate to local history and culture; lease of books and media for leisure reading/viewing; and sponsorship of programs of cultural interest, prize awards for student and community authors, and receptions for campus and other authors.

Benefits of membership include book checkout and interlibrary loan privileges for non-campus affiliated persons, subscription to the library newsletter, invitations to special events sponsored by the Friends of the Library such as the annual book sale, and the opportunity to garner tax-deductible credits.
