Welcome to the USA and UNCP!

At The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, we try to make the international admissions process as easy as we can.

First, we work with you individually—that’s the Pembroke way—to make sure the admissions process goes well. We encourage you to begin the process by contacting Judd Sanders, Associate Director for International Recruitment, at judd.sanders@uncp.edu or phone him at (800) 949-UNCP or (910) 521-6262.

Second, UNCP is an extremely friendly campus where we are delighted to welcome students from all over the world.

And third, once you are on campus, we provide academic and social support through our Office of International Student Services to help you adjust to a new country and educational environment.

How do I apply?

It’s easy. Just do the following:

First-time college students will…

• Complete and submit a UNCP application (PDF).
• Send in your $40 application fee.
• Submit Certified/Official English-language translation of your high school transcripts/Exit Exams.
• Request your TOEFL and/or SAT/ACT scores be sent to UNCP. (UNCP’s codes are 5534 for the TOEFL and SAT and 3138 for the ACT.)
• Provide Proof(s) of Financial Support (PDF).

Transfer students (those of you who are coming from a college or university outside the United States) will…

• Complete a UNCP application (PDF).
• Send in your $40 application fee.
• Submit Certified/Official English-language translation of your high school transcripts/Exit Exams.
• Submit Certified/Official English-language translation(s) of transcripts from post-secondary institutions attended.
• Request your TOEFL scores be sent to UNCP. (UNCP’s code is 5534 for the TOEFL.)
• Provide Proof(s) of Financial Support (PDF).

• Request that transcripts from other U.S. institution(s) be sent to UNCP.
• Provide Proof(s) of Financial Support (PDF).
