1. What is UNCP’s definition of a transfer student?
A transfer student is anyone applying for admission to UNCP who has attended a college or university after high school graduation. Most students who completed courses while still in high school (dual enrollment) are considered freshmen.
2. What are the admission requirements for transfer students?
Please see transfer admission requirements for details.
3. Will I have to send ACT/SAT test scores to apply?
It depends on your particular situation. If you are transferring fewer than 24 transferable credits and are under the age of 21, you must also meet freshman admission requirements, which may require ACT/SAT scores. You can contact the Admissions Office if you have questions about sending your ACT/SAT scores.
4. Will I have to send high school transcripts to apply?
Yes, we will need your high school transcript or GED/Adult High School Diploma showing your graduation date as part of the application process
High school transcripts should be sent directly from your high school to:

Upon completion of your application to UNCP, your information will be submitted to a national database showing all colleges and universities previously attended. We will not be able to process your application until transcripts are received from all institutions.
