As an experienced and distinguished professor, Dr. Schneider's teaching fields include courses in the pre-law and public policy curriculum. Dr. Schneider has a growing list of journal publications and a national reputation in the field of emergency management. Some of his work has been featured on the Emergency Management Institute website at FEMA in the Department of Homeland Security.

He has participated in efforts sponsored by the FEMA Higher Education Project and the National Science Foundation to formulate a national model for hazards/disaster/emergency management higher education forum.
