What have you learned while teaching at UNCP?
I've learned that teaching at a place like UNCP is invigorating and stimulating. I've learned that being an instructor is not easy, but it is infinitely rewarding because of the opportunity to teach young minds how to think for themselves.
What do students like best about your class?
I hope I bring a lot of enthusiasm to the classroom. I believe that Public Relations work is challenging and fun at the same time, and I believe I am successful if my students can feel some of that excitement.
What makes the classroom experience at UNCP unique?
The size of the classes is ideal for enabling students to feel respected and appreciated as individuals. I believe a student gets out of the classroom experience what he or she puts into it. There is plenty of opportunity for students to share their thoughts, ask questions, and help create an environment in which we can all learn from each other.
