Biography
I was born January 12, 1978 on the island of St. Thomas USVI. I moved to North Carolina at the age of 10 and lived in Spring Lake for close to 15 years. After graduating from Western Harnett High in 1996, I enjoyed a beautiful four years at UNC Pembroke where I was involved with different organizations. After 5 years in corporate America, I moved back home to St. Thomas and worked there for two years. I currently live in Tampa, FL enjoying the weather!
What was the most important thing you learned while attending UNCP
“Don’t be a singer, be a musician who sings” by Gary Wright. I apply it to all aspects of my life.
What advice would you give to current or prospective students?
Follow your heart. Life is too short to do everything everyone else wants you to do. Push for your dreams, no matter the cost!
There may come a time when you have to find yourself. Start looking as quickly as possible, the adventure is worth it!
Additional Comments
I LOVE UNC Pembroke!! I love how the college has grown and I am so proud to be an alumnus. Like me, the college is constantly growing and maturing. UNC Pembroke is repeatedly setting a higher standard for itself so I owe a debt of gratitude to all administration, faculty and staff.
