Admissions

I grew up in the small town of Pittsboro and attended Northwood High School. I am the first in my family to go to college. Here at UNCP, I’m on the Track & Field team, where I run 100 meter and 400 meter hurdles and the 4x1600 meter relay. I also compete in the triple jump. On campus, I’m a member of Gamma Beta Phi, the African American Student Organization, and the Admissions Ambassadors. I’m also a Resident Advisor in my residence hall.

I looked at several schools during my college search process. When I compared the other schools to UNCP, I found that I liked the diversity, campus appearance, and small classes at Pembroke. After visiting, I fell in love with the close-knit community here.

I like the fact that everyone here makes an effort to help others succeed.
