Dr. Dent is an experienced, senior leader whose career has bridged a number of separate fields and perspectives. His published work has established him as a thought leader in fields such as management and higher education. His graduate education in technology, finance, and organizational behavior and later work experience in each of those areas has provided for a unique, holistic perspective of the highest levels of organization and large scale change. His publications in such disparate fields as communications, spirituality, and complex science demonstrate the ability to move easily among disciplines and conceptual frameworks. He has a track record of success as a leader achieving high levels of organizational behavior as a corporate vice president, consultant, and academic advisor.

UNCP is a very special place. The classes are relatively small and taught by faculty, not students. These factors contribute to a close interaction between students and faculty. The School of Business offers a number of exciting opportunities for students, ranging from the variety of tracks of study to a network of retired professional mentors to internships at the cutting edge of work in organizations.
