Biography
I started attending Pembroke State College in 1947. Then I went into the Air Force and came back to Pembroke State College to receive a degree in 1953. While attending I played three sports including Basketball, Baseball, and Football. I enjoyed my experiences here as a student athlete.
What was the most important thing you learned while attending UNCP
Academics are the most important part of college. However, you should also get involved with extra-curricular activities like sports, church, and organizations within the school and community.
What advice would you give to current or prospective students?
The things you learn at UNC Pembroke will help you succeed in your career and life. I believe that students will like the small college atmosphere that you will find in the classrooms. It is so important to stay busy outside of the classroom with activities such as sports to keep your eyes focused on the right path.
