• campus Alert ✖CLOSE

Yesterday evening Piedmont Natural Gas disconnected natural gas service to main campus in order prevent potential hazards. As of this morning, gas service has not been restored. Utility crews are working continuously to repair the segment and restore service as soon as possible.

It is important to know faculty, staff, students and visitors on campus are not in immediate danger because of any potential gas leaks. The disruption in service may affect some campus activity throughout the day, including dining services. Dining facilities are working to bring in the necessary resources to provide limited hot meal options. We appreciate your patience and will update you as additional information becomes available.

Mission Statement

The Office of New Student and Family Orientation is committed to providing programs that will ease the transition of our new students and their family members to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. At every event we strive to make new students and their family members feel welcome and appreciated, while promoting their excitement of attending this University.

We believe that by participating in New Student Orientation, students will be better prepared to begin their academic careers at UNC Pembroke. During our events, students will have an opportunity to meet and interact with faculty, staff, Orientation Leaders and other incoming students. Our programs are designed to address a variety of academic and social needs through advisement, registration and the Freshman Welcome Program.
