Welcome to the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs at UNC Pembroke. Our mission is to support the faculty and staff to acquire external funding that will advance the University's academic, research, and community service missions.
REACH NC has a new look!
It's been a very busy couple of months for REACH NC and our partner institutions. After many months of planning and designing, we are pleased to announce a new look for REACH NC. Check it out!
While the source data and the technology behind the concept keywords remain unchanged, we hope you will agree that the new site has:
1. Improved search functionality
Now you can search by full name, nickname, non-technical terms, or concept. Instantly narrow search results to only include certain institutions or all 10. You can search for results by publications, grants, or both. The boolean search allows you to easily narrow your search results without having to click through multiple terms.
2. Easier to follow layout
A crisp, clear layout makes it easier to find what you're looking for. Easily filter through concepts in various thesauri, or experts at all 10, or only some, of the institutions available.
3. New capabilities
If you're looking to contact multiple people, you now only have to fill out one form. Interactive maps and charts allow you to gather the collaboration data you're looking for.
4. More information than before
PURE showcases the same experts you saw on the old site, with more departments rolled out.
5. Faster and more reliable performance.
New host servers and a modular approach allow for a faster site with the same powerful search and visualization functionalities you are used to.
Phase I of this migration includes 10 campuses. Phase II of the migration is ongoing and we expect to have the remaining sites migrated to the new software in early 2016. In the meantime, the legacy experts site will remain active and is still accessible here. As always, we are grateful for your support - we couldn't do it without our community!
