    Piedmont Natural Gas has restored service to campus this evening. As a result of the work performed today there will be detours on Faculty Row for both vehicles and pedestrians. Please use extreme caution and do not attempt to go around the barricades.

    Facilities and Piedmont Natural Gas personnel will continue working with the natural gas infrastructure on campus throughout the week. Service disruption is not anticipated, but could be possible. This work is being performed to make every effort to maintain a safe and healthy campus environment. 

    Dining services will resume standard operations for Sunday, January 22. We appreciate your patience today and apologize for any inconvenience.

Jean Marie Coleman

 Jean Marie Floyd 

is currently working full time at UNC Pembroke. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Management and Finance from The University of Akron in Ohio. During her first year in the MBA program at UNCP, she worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the School of Education. She then secured full time employment in the Financial Aid department on campus while also taking evening classes on campus. Ms. Floyd finished the MBA program in approximately a year and a half. She stated, “The Masters of Business Administration program at UNCP has provided me with the flexibility of working full time, while also having the opportunity of earning my degree. The rigor and challenge of the program is what I have most enjoyed. The professors are eager to stretch our capabilities and expand our views of the world of business. I feel adequately prepared for my future career in business.”


Eric Hanby

 Eric Hanby

 is originally from Michigan where he earned his undergraduate degree in History from Eastern Michigan University.  Eric moved to North Carolina in 2010 with his wife Susan and has since worked for several local companies before beginning the MBA program in the fall of 2012.  Most recently Eric was a Graduate Assistant for the School of Business and received the 2015 MBA Student of the Year Award. He graduated from the program on May 8th, 2015.  Currently he is teaching as an adjunct and working with the Thomas Family Center for Entrepreneurship here at UNCP.  In his spare time Eric enjoys reading, video games, and metal detecting.
