  • Conservation Scholars Program: a multi-year conservation immersion program at the University of Washington. An 8-week, paid summer experience for freshmen and sophomores begins 22 June 2015. Deadline for applications is 29 January 2015.
  • George Melendez Wright Young Leaders in Climate Change: 11- or 12-week paid summer internships for undergraduate and graduate students to work on issues related to the effects of climate change on national parks.  Deadline for applications is Friday, 30 January 2015.  Free or subsidized housing in accommodations in the park is available for most positions.
  • Multicultural Initiative in the Marine Sciences in Washington state. Pays a stipend for students to complete university coursework and to conduct supervised research (January 6 - June 12, 2015 with a spring break from March 21 - March 30, 2015) at the Shannon Point Marine Center. Deadline is Friday, 7 November 2014.
  • Minorities in Marine and Environmental Sciences. 12-week paid summer internship in Charleston, South Carolina.
  • Native American research internships in biomedical and health sciences in Utah.  Paid 10-week summer research internship (26 May - 31 July 2015) for junior and senior undergraduates who are Native American.  Deadline for applications is 9 February 2015.  Click here (PDF) for application information.
