M.A.T. Candidate Phase II Portfolio

MAT Candidate Phase II Portfolio: The primary assessment from Phase II of the MAT program is the electronic portfolio produced at the completion of the degree. This portfolio acts as at least part of the Capstone to the MAT program, and it allows the candidate to apply for initial licensure before completing the degree. Note that some Areas may have additional Capstone requirements beyond the Phase II portfolio.

The portfolio will be reviewed by the Area Director for the candidate’s concentration, using rubrics based on the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards and the Teacher Education Specialty Area Standards, specifically the graduate standards. It must be submitted via Taskstream; some elements may require candidates to scan paper documents in order to be able to upload them.
