Prior to supporting the UNCP School of Business, Joseph McDaniel held leadership positions in the fields of real estate, sales, marketing, and higher education administration. Having earned the highest award as a district manager and the Staff Member of the Year Award as a higher education professional, Joe began leveraging a successful career in management and entrepreneurial leadership for the teaching profession. At the close of 2009, Mr. McDaniel began the transition to consulting in his newly founded firm and teaching with the UNCP School of Business. Drawing from nearly two decades of management and leadership experience, he currently teaches Business Communications, Organization and Management, and Operations Management. Receiving very encouraging student reviews, Mr. McDaniel continues to develop as an instructor by remaining sensitive to student feedback and adding strong rigor, case-study methods and application-based learning to his pedagogy. He has earned both the Master of Education and the Master of Business Administration from Regent University and thereby employs a strong assortment of academic training and business experience for his students. He enjoys the consulting and executive coaching industries and simultaneously exposes his students to the real-world business cases that he encounters daily. Providing executive leadership for SIL Consulting LLC, he supports a wide range of clients in the manufacturing, healthcare, and entertainment industries. His research interests can be found in economic development, family-based entrepreneurship, and personal development.
