Scholarship and Grant Opportunities

    • American Association for the Advancement of Science:  Searchable database of scholarships, fellowships, and grants.

    • American Indian College Fund: Full Circle Scholarship Program awards scholarships to American Indian/Alaska Native students attending non-tribal colleges. To be eligible a student must be registered as a member of a federal or state recognized tribe, or be a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member. The Full Circle Scholarships are generally based upon merit or demonstrated financial need.

    • American Indian Graduate Center: Scholarships for graduate students of Alaskan Native or American Indian descent.

    • American Indian Science and Engineering Society : Scholarships for students pursuing a career in science, technology, and engineering.

    • Association on American Indian Affairs: Scholarships for students from US tribes or Alaskan Natives.

    • Caring Touch Home Health Care Endowed Scholarship  for graduate students in the Master of Business Administration program.

    • College Answer Scholarship Search: Free online scholarship search. Sponsored by Sallie Mae.

    • College Foundation of North Carolina: Search for North Carolina - based scholarships.

    • College Scholarships.org: Lists helpful information on funding graduate school through grants and federal aid.
    • Critical Language Scholarship Program: Fully-funded group-based intensive language instruction and structured cultural enrichment activities overseas each summer for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students.

    • Ellen Hubbard Care Fund:  Fund is a non-endowed fund to provide financial assistance to single-parent families with children in need of day care.

    • NAACP Scholarship Program: Scholarships for students pursuing a career in business, education, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematical Sciences. Membership in NAACP is required for some of these scholarships.

    • NC-529 College Savings Plan Information from the College Foundation of NC

    • NC Council of Teachers of Mathematics: for pre-K-12 teachers and who are taking graduate courses in mathematics or mathematics education as part of a graduate program leading to a graduate degree or graduate add-on mathematics licensure.
    • NC Space Grant:  is now accepting applications from graduate students for scholarships and research fellowships. Students from all STEM majors are encouraged to apply.
    • Princeton Review Scholarship Search: Free online scholarship search. Sponsored by The Princeton Review.

    • Research Funding:  The Dr. Louise M. Berman Fellows Award is open to all graduate students at the master's and doctorate levels.  The purpose of the award is to enable Fellows to conduct research that will advance the field of education to promote growth and development as well as ethical decision-making in educational settings, explore social justice issues and the study of the human condition, foster collaboration on major education initiatives, and propose future direction for educational leadership.  The award ranges from $1,200 - $1,80; applications are due October 31, 2016.  Applicants are not required to be KDP members.
    • SEANC Scholarship Program: Active and associate members, their spouses and their dependent children are eligible to apply. Scholarships are awarded in the following categories: CATEGORY I: Financial Need CATEGORY II: Merit CATEGORY III: Member Only (working full time and enrolled in at least 6 semester hours of undergraduate work or 3 semester hours of graduate work)

    •  TEACH Grant: TheTeacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who are completing or plan to complete course work needed to begin a career in teaching (would work for UNCP MAT students).
