Dr. Jeffrey Warren is NC School Counselor Educator of the Year!!

Congratulations to Dr. Jeffrey Warren, associate professor and chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling, who was recently named the NC Counselor Educator of the Year at the North Caolina School Counselor Association conference in Greensboro.

UNCP Well Represented at Conference

Not only did Dr. Warren receive the School Counselor Educaor of the Year award, but Professional School Counseling student Jessica Oxendine received the NCSCA graduate student scholarship. Congradtulations Jessica!

Counseling Programs Now offered in Wilmington

Starting Fall 18, UNCP’s CACREP Accredited Professional School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs will be offered in Wilmington. The courses will be offered at Cape Fear Community College and online. Courses began being offered fall 17 and demand is such that the programs now will be fully offered.  SOAR! CONFERENCE


The SOAR! Conference is a regional conference aimed at promoting PK-16 student success.  is an acronym for Student Success through Opportunity and Access to Resources.  The conference aims to bring together educational leaders and stakeholders from across the region and state in an effort to advance student success at all levels (pk-16).  Registration is free but the conference is limited to 200 participants.  Image below is of 2016 Soar conference.

 This year’s conference theme is Mending the Gaps through Evidence-Based Practice. Learn more from the webpage.

 

The conference will be December 11, 2017 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (check-in starts at 8:30 am) in the UC Annex Assembly room.  Lunch is provided.  Registration

Counseling Programs Receive International Recognition
