The mission of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke's Facilities Operations (comprised of Administration, Carpentry/Locksmith, Electrical, Grounds, Housekeeping, HVAC/Plumbing, Motor Pool, Painting and Setups/Labor) is to provide support services to the University community. The collective department of Facilities Operations will strive to provide an effective academic environment. We believe that the means to personalized education is inherent in the physical spaces we provide for learning. Some of the characteristics that create an atmosphere which facilitates campus and community activities are: cleanliness, attractiveness, comfort, accessibility, safety and systematically arranged spaces.
The ultimate goal of the Facilities Operations will be to condition our facilities, through inspection and audit programs, to design new and renovated facilities for low cost life-cycle maintenance, to assign the highest priorities to the most serious conditions and to utilize all funding sources as good stewards.
