Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs

Welcome to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke!  As Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, I have the privilege of working with a talented group of faculty and staff who are committed to delivering quality academic programs and ensuring instructional excellence.  Our degree programs are housed in one of three major organizational units at the University:  the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, and the School of Education.   Please use the links on this page to explore the rich array of academic programs that UNCP offers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Perhaps you’ve heard that UNCP is known as the school “where learning gets personal.”  So what exactly does that mean?

It means that our students enjoy classes small enough to get to know their professors and classmates.  It means that our students are challenged by faculty who take the time to learn their names and understand their educational needs and goals.  It means that our students have a unique opportunity to engage in directed research – even as undergraduates.  It means that our students are encouraged to gain knowledge beyond the classroom through service learning and study abroad opportunities.  It means that our students acquire an enthusiasm for learning that will last for the rest of their lives.  In short, UNCP is a place where extraordinary things happen every day.

I am proud of our academic offerings and thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about our programs of study or would like to talk with a staff member from the Office of Academic Affairs.
