A.D. Gallery Travel Scholarship

 

The A.D. Gallery is proud to announce the A.D. Gallery Travel Scholarship. This award is intended to inspire students to examine and explore progressive contemporary art, and is a biennial award established in conjunction with the gallery's annual juried exhibition on contemporary art.

Art Department Faculty nominate exceptional students for this award. Nominees must meet all preliminary requirements: 3.0 GPA overall and a minimum of 3.5 GPA in the art program. Nominees are also expected to write a 300-500 word short essay on any contemporary artist or art movement of the student's choice.

The 2010 award recipients are: Joanne Bradshaw, Rachelle Hales, and Sheena Mature. This year students traveled to New York City over Fall Break to visit several museums and galleries, as well as take part in professional studio visits.
