    Piedmont Natural Gas has restored service to campus this evening. As a result of the work performed today there will be detours on Faculty Row for both vehicles and pedestrians. Please use extreme caution and do not attempt to go around the barricades.

    Facilities and Piedmont Natural Gas personnel will continue working with the natural gas infrastructure on campus throughout the week. Service disruption is not anticipated, but could be possible. This work is being performed to make every effort to maintain a safe and healthy campus environment. 

    Dining services will resume standard operations for Sunday, January 22. We appreciate your patience today and apologize for any inconvenience.

We are continuing to monitor conditions in our region that may impact operations. Conditions in the area of the university are rapidly improving. At this time, UNC Pembroke remains open and operating with some modifications to scheduled activity.

Looking back over the past year, clearly the University of North Carolina at Pembroke has been blessed in many ways. As we look to the future, we are focused on establishing UNCP as an institution of choice in our state and a model regional university.

Erin Tesoriero, a sophomore studying chemistry at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, has been presented with the 2016 Community Impact Award.

Dr. Bryan Brayboy, senior advisor to the President for American Indian Affairs at Arizona State University, and Dr. Steven Bourquin, a math professor at UNCP, will serve as keynote speakers during the winter 2016 Commencement at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
